Job Requirements

  • Current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements or willingness to obtain through company training
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to ten or more hours
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and perform pushing, pulling, stretching, and repetitive wrist motions
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform all physical functions required at the restaurant level
  • Ability to work 50-55 hours per week if needed
  • At least high school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in a full-service restaurant manager role with kitchen or culinary emphasis
  • At least 1 year of experience scheduling and managing labor
  • Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Ability to think like an owner and accept feedback
  • Passion for the bar and restaurant industry with guest-first mindset

Job Duties

  • Responsible for hiring, training and retaining the best kitchen talent in the industry
  • Executes training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis
  • Enforces policies and procedures and follows disciplinary action standards
  • Ensures that legal and company standards are met and follow-up quickly on all employee complaints
  • Ensure safety standards are communicated to and followed by the team members each shift
  • Responsible for training team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Lead by example and be a role model for great performance
  • Ensure all financial and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
  • Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity and meet labor cost objectives
  • Control labor cost by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Maintain operations by executing policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by enforcing sanitation standards and complying with health and legal regulations
  • Ensure food and products are prepared and served according to recipes and standards
  • Order products according to specifications and manage delivery receiving
  • Control food cost and usage by monitoring requisition, storage, recipes, and waste control procedures
