  • Five plus years experience in kitchen leadership in a full-service, moderate to high volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, enthusiastic environment
  • Culinary school background is a plus

Job Duties

  • Communicate clearly and perform consistently using the mission and values of the organization as a guide
  • Ensure that each shift is set up for success, runs smoothly with great cook times, delicious tasting dishes, and good morale
  • Act as both a fantastic cook and chef, working on the line and creating exciting specials
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to colleagues to maintain a safe and fair work environment
  • Efficiently read and communicate orders, integrating needs from multiple departments and service team members
  • Lead a team to prepare and execute food quickly and consistently following established systems
  • Take responsibility for recruiting, hiring, and developing staff into valuable team members
  • Manage financial aspects including payroll, food cost, and waste
  • Create opportunities for leaders to develop and grow their skills
  • Facilitate staff involvement in meetings and educational opportunities
