Job Requirements

  • Experience working in a full-service, high volume kitchen
  • Experience managing employees
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knife skills to suit station prep
  • Knowledge of health department code for culinary cleanliness
  • Ability to follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • Ability to write weekly work schedule
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets for inventory and cost controls

Job Duties

  • Maintain food quality with sense of urgency towards check times
  • Strong communication skills with ability to motivate kitchen team
  • In charge of leading, teaching, and developing current and new staff
  • Help prepare and create weekly specials
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour plus shifts, ability to stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Able to grasp, lift and or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Knife skills to suit station prep
  • Culinary cleanliness to health department code
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station while practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Able to write a weekly work schedule
  • Able to work with Excel spreadsheets for inventory and cost controls
