Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • college degree preferred
  • minimum 2 years experience in kitchen management
  • at least 1 year labor scheduling and management experience
  • current alcohol and food certification meeting state requirements
  • knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • ability to stand for extended hours
  • ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform physical tasks including bending and repetitive motion

Job Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • bachelor of science in hotel or restaurant management desirable
  • combination of experience and education considered
  • minimum 2 years experience in a kitchen manager role
  • at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
  • knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial planning
  • strong decision making skills
  • valid driver’s license
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Accomplish restaurant and bar human resource objectives
  • execute training and development of team members
  • enforce policies and procedures and disciplinary standards
  • oversee training of kitchen personnel in equipment operation
  • train kitchen personnel in cleanliness and sanitation
  • manage financial and administrative duties including payroll and reporting
  • schedule labor according to business needs and control labor costs
  • maintain operations by implementing production and service standards
  • monitor and improve guest satisfaction
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • ensure consistent food preparation according to recipes and standards
  • order food products and control food costs by following proper procedures
