Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- college degree preferred
- minimum 2 years experience in kitchen management
- at least 1 year labor scheduling and management experience
- current alcohol and food certification meeting state requirements
- knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- ability to stand for extended hours
- ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds
- excellent communication skills
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending and repetitive motion
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- bachelor of science in hotel or restaurant management desirable
- combination of experience and education considered
- minimum 2 years experience in a kitchen manager role
- at least 1 year experience scheduling and managing labor
- knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial planning
- strong decision making skills
- valid driver’s license
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Accomplish restaurant and bar human resource objectives
- execute training and development of team members
- enforce policies and procedures and disciplinary standards
- oversee training of kitchen personnel in equipment operation
- train kitchen personnel in cleanliness and sanitation
- manage financial and administrative duties including payroll and reporting
- schedule labor according to business needs and control labor costs
- maintain operations by implementing production and service standards
- monitor and improve guest satisfaction
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- ensure consistent food preparation according to recipes and standards
- order food products and control food costs by following proper procedures
