Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current food management certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work up to 55 hours per week
- Physical stamina to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
- Coordination to operate kitchen equipment
- Strong communication skills in English
- Able to complete employee evaluations
- Must be willing to transfer within 30 miles
- Ability to work 5-day work week with 2 days off between Monday and Thursday
Job Qualifications
- Current food management certification
- Demonstrate an ownership mentality
- Flexibility for scheduling and readiness to work five days per week including 50-55 hours
- Willingness to transfer to different geographical locations
- Ability to issue written evaluations for staff performance
- Proficient at all kitchen stations including expo
- Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
- Ability to read and write English
- Knowledge of Florida State health code standards
- Adherence to Flanigan’s kitchen policies regarding dress and grooming
Job Duties
- Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the course of the day
- Read and write (in English) notes in the manager’s daily log
- Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
- Read the weekly memo
- Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations
- Communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
- Relate an accurate, honest report of all events both positive and negative
- Comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
- Enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
- Attend the quarterly supervisor meetings
