Job Requirements

- 1-2 years of experience in kitchen management
- ability to plan menus and order ingredients
- knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- strong leadership and team management skills
- good communication skills
- prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment

- previous managerial experience a plus
Job Duties
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- supervise food prep and cooking
- check food plating and temperature
- establish portion sizes
- schedule kitchen staff shifts
- price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
- order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed
- train kitchen staff in prep work and food plating techniques
- store food products in compliance with safety practices
- keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
- assist in recruiting, hiring, and training kitchen staff
- daily supervision of kitchen staff including communicating company policies, standards, and procedures
- assist in kitchen staff annual reviews with management
- partner with management to address staff disciplinary actions
- serve as a resource for kitchen staff by answering questions, conducting training, and mentoring
- monitor kitchen staff assignments, schedules, and job function completion ensuring coverage
