Job Requirements

  • Must have current food management certification
  • Must possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • Must have flexibility for scheduling
  • Must be willing to transfer to a different geographical location
  • Able to work five-day work week comprising 50-55 hours per week
  • Two days off must fall between Monday and Thursday
  • Must be adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • Must understand and comply with Florida State health code standards
  • Must adhere to Flanigan’s hiring policies and conduct interviews timely
  • Must be able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Requires ability to stand and move at a moderate pace for up to four hours at length and stamina for 50-55 hours per week
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • Must have coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment
  • Must adhere to Flanigan’s kitchen policies for dress and grooming
  • Must be proficient at all kitchen stations including expo

Job Qualifications

  • Current food management certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality
  • Experience in kitchen leadership roles
  • Proficiency in all kitchen stations including expo
  • Knowledge of Florida State health code standards
  • Ability to conduct employee evaluations and interviews

Job Duties

  • Leading the BOH team through kitchen operations including ordering, receiving, prep, service, cleaning, and closing
  • Communicating kitchen issues with management throughout the day
  • Reading and writing notes in the manager’s daily log
  • Attending weekly manager meetings, monthly staff meetings, and quarterly supervisor meetings
  • Completing weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • Communicating with all M.O.D. when shifts are completed
  • Reporting accurately and honestly on all events both positive and negative
  • Enforcing policies on measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
