Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years experience in the food and beverage field
- experience managing in a union environment preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a kitchen manager, restaurant manager or head chef with a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
- in-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
- excellent organizational skills
- conflict management abilities
- ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- flexibility to work during evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare food orders in a timely manner to ensure proper stocking to meet demand
- assist in the development of menu items and recipes
- develop food prep lists
- maintain and monitor budgeted food costs
- maintain sanitation standards and assist with health department inspections
- conduct monthly inventory of food and other supplies
- monitor and receive all ordered food products and supplies, ensure proper storage
- assist in monitoring business volume forecast and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses
- assist in the direction and training of all chefs to ensure adequate operation in all outlets
- incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- perform other duties as required
