Job Requirements
- Flexible schedule requirements, evening and weekend availability is a must
- Prior experience as back of house management, understanding of ordering, inventory, and food cost
- Preferred experience in understanding P&Ls, scheduling, and labor budgets
- Preferred experience as a grill cook as well, role will sometimes require stepping into the line to complete orders depending on business needs
- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills with a people-first, collaborative approach
- Must be able to stand on feet for 6-8 hours
Job Qualifications
- Experience in back-of-house management
- Knowledge of inventory, ordering, and food cost control
- Ability to forecast sales and manage labor budgets
- Leadership and team development skills
- Experience with HACCP and ServSafe or similar food safety standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working on the line as a cook
Job Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Ensure all menu items meet company recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations
- Schedule, train, and manage kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas in compliance with health and safety codes
- Monitor inventory and order supplies while controlling waste and minimizing costs
- Conduct regular inspections of food storage and prep areas to ensure compliance with local health regulations
- Manage food and labor costs to achieve budget targets
