Job Requirements

  • Education or certification in food management
  • experience leading kitchen staff
  • ability to work 50 to 55 hours per week
  • flexibility in scheduling
  • willingness to transfer locations within 30 miles
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • physical stamina and mobility for kitchen duties
  • proficiency in English reading and writing
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Current food management certification
  • demonstrate ownership mentality
  • flexibility for scheduling with Flanigan's open 365 days per year
  • willingness to transfer to different geographical locations
  • adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • understanding and compliance with Florida State health code standards
  • proficiency at all kitchen stations including expo
  • able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • able to read and write English
  • able to issue written evaluations for performance
  • able to stand and move at a moderate pace for up to four hours and work 50 to 55 hours per week
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, or crawling
  • coordination to operate kitchen equipment
  • adherence to Flanigan's kitchen policies for dress and grooming

Job Duties

  • Communicate kitchen issues with management throughout the day
  • read and write notes in the manager's daily log
  • attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • read the weekly memo
  • complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • communicate with all M.O.D. when shift is completed
  • report accurately on all events both positive and negative
  • comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
  • enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
  • attend quarterly supervisor meetings
