Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- current food management certification
- 3+ years experience in a kitchen leadership role
- ability to stand and move at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at length
- stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
- able to lift up to 50 lbs
- able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
- coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment
- excellent communication skills in English
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to transfer locations
Job Qualifications
- current food management certification
- possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
- flexibility for scheduling as Flanigan's is open 365 days per year
- willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
- able to work a 5 day work week, 50-55 hours per week
- 2 days off must fall between Monday-Thursday
- adept at ordering and formulating pars
- understanding and compliance with Florida State health code standards
- adherence to Flanigan's hiring policy and ability to conduct timely interviews
- ability to issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performances
- able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
- able to read and write English
- proficient at all kitchen stations including expo
- must adhere to Flanigan’s kitchen policies for dress and grooming
Job Duties
- communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the course of the day
- read and write notes in the manager's daily log
- attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
- read the weekly memo
- complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
- communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
- relate an accurate, honest report of all events both positive and negative
- comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
- enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
- attend the quarterly supervisor meetings
