Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a full-service high volume kitchen
  • Experience managing employees
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts standing or walking for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knife skills
  • Knowledge of health department cleanliness codes
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain presentation standards
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to create and maintain weekly work schedules
  • Proficiency in Excel for inventory and cost management

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a full-service high volume kitchen
  • Experience managing employees
  • Knife skills to suit station prep
  • Culinary cleanliness to health department code
  • Ability to follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ability to write a weekly work schedule
  • Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets for inventory and cost controls

Job Duties

  • Maintain food quality with sense of urgency towards check times
  • Strong communication skills
  • Help run the kitchen working directly under the executive chef
  • In charge of leading, teaching, and developing current and new staff
  • Help prepare and create weekly specials
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour plus shifts, ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
