Job Requirements

  • food management certification

  • flexible scheduling availability as Flanigan's operates 365 days a year
  • willingness to transfer to different geographical locations
  • ability to work a 5-day workweek totaling 50-55 hours
  • ensure 2 days off fall between Monday and Thursday
  • schedule vacations between April and November
  • ability to order and formulate pars
  • compliance with Florida State health codes
  • ability to conduct timely interviews and hire staff
  • capacity to issue written performance evaluations
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 4 hours at a moderate pace
  • stamina for 50-55 hour workweeks
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • coordination needed to operate kitchen equipment
  • adherence to dress and grooming policies
  • proficiency in all kitchen stations including expo

Job Duties

  • lead the back-of-house team through kitchen operations including ordering, prep, service, cleaning, and closing
  • communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
  • write and read notes in the manager's daily log
  • attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • communicate with all managers on duty at shift completion
  • report accurately and honestly on all events
  • enforce compliance with policies, rules, and kitchen standards
  • ensure adherence to recipes, measurements, cleanliness, and quality control
  • attend quarterly supervisor meetings
