Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- current food management certification
- experience managing kitchen staff
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- willingness to relocate within 30 miles if required
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- proficiency in English reading and writing
- excellent communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to evaluate employee performance
- leadership and delegation skills
- able to adhere to company dress and grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- Current food management certification
- possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
- flexible scheduling availability
- willingness to transfer within 30 miles of current location
- ability to work a 5-day workweek averaging 50 to 55 hours
- availability for two days off between Monday and Thursday
- adept at ordering and formulating pars
- knowledge of Florida State health code standards
- able to conduct interviews and issue written employee evaluations
- able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
- proficient in reading and writing English
- physical stamina to stand and move for up to 4 hours at a time
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- able to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
- coordination to operate kitchen equipment
- adherence to dressing and grooming policies
- proficiency at all kitchen stations including expo
Job Duties
- Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
- read and write notes in the manager’s daily log
- attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
- read the weekly memo
- complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
- communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
- provide accurate and honest reports of all events
- comply with all policies, rules, and directions in manuals, memos, and meetings
- enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
- attend quarterly supervisor meetings
