Job Requirements

  • At least three years of chef or kitchen leadership experience
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards for food safety, sanitation, and guest service
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and rotation procedures
  • Ability to confidently open and close the kitchen and complete daily tasks properly
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and push or pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to four hours without a break
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Hands-on approach to leading and working alongside the team

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional and courteous service to all guests
  • Prepare, cook, heat, and serve food according to Plum Market standards
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times
  • Train and supervise team members on kitchen procedures, safety standards, and daily expectations
  • Ensure the kitchen, equipment, and work areas remain clean, organized, and in excellent condition
  • Receive deliveries, stock products, and ensure proper storage and rotation of all items
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing as needed
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining product levels for daily operations
  • Support smooth opening and closing procedures for the kitchen each day
