Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous kitchen management or chef experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in inventory and budget management
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager or chef
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to manage budgeting and cost control
  • Good leadership and personnel management skills
  • Experience in inventory management and purchasing
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in meeting facility budget by achieving budgeted cost in areas of food, labor, direct and other expenses
  • Execute smooth operation on a daily basis
  • Develop and follow through with action plans for improvements when costs are off plan
  • Responsible for the overall production of meals in accordance with company quality food production requirements
  • Properly estimate daily food production by using the Food Production Worksheets
  • Use historical data for proper ordering of food quantities
  • Utilize on hand food profitably
  • Conduct daily production meeting
  • Responsible for the food production for catering functions/events
  • Responsible for accurate inventories
  • Take accurate physical counts of all products
  • Complete extensions properly and maintain organized storage areas
  • Purchase food and supplies from approved vendors and according to product specifications
  • Check receiving product against invoices
  • Complete vendor evaluation forms and forward appropriately
