Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year management experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, or sous chef
  • Food safety certification
  • Proficient organization and planning skills
  • Proficient cleaning abilities
  • Proficient communication skills including written, verbal and listening
  • Proficient computer skills in excel, word and email
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of proprietary applications and technology
  • Formal culinary training preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for all back of the house kitchen functions including preparation and maintenance to Busch's quality standards
  • Coordinate kitchen workflow and prepare prep lists for kitchen associates
  • Execute programs and procedures for deli hot case, hot food bar, chef's case, and grab & go items
  • Prepare and produce food items including menus, rotisserie chicken, hot case, chef's case and grab & go items
  • Ensure consistent preparation and serving of food according to recipes, portioning, and cooking standards
  • Manage in-stock positions adjusting production based on seasonal needs and promotions
  • Assist in training deli and kitchen associates in cooking methods, presentation, portion and cost control, and sanitation
  • Provide input concerning associate performance and department conditions
  • Assist in ordering recommendations to control inventory
  • Maintain food safety standards and product dating
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance
  • Control food cost and usage following proper procedures to minimize waste
  • Rotate product to maintain freshness and control shrink
  • Represent Busch's at outside food events
  • Stay current on food trends relevant to department sales
  • Assist guests with counter service, product recommendations, locations, special orders, and catering needs
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for goals and quality of work
  • Communicate clearly and use constructive feedback
  • Foster teamwork by recognizing accomplishments and helping others
  • Execute operations with integrity anticipating problems and adapting to improve
  • Follow Busch's policies and procedures
  • Share passion for products by being knowledgeable and sharing information
