Job Requirements
- 2 or more years of kitchen management experience
- knowledge of kitchen operations including expo, grill, prep, and line quality
- understanding of food, service, and atmosphere standards
- financial acumen and P&L experience a plus
- computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS
- resourceful in handling assignments
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- Spanish speaking a plus
- excellent communication skills
- TABC, Food Handler, and Allergen Certification
Job Qualifications
- 2 or more years of kitchen management experience
- fundamental knowledge of kitchen operations including expo, grill, prep, and line quality standards
- understanding of food, service, and atmosphere business standards
- financial acumen and P&L accountability experience preferred
- excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and management software adaptability
- resourcefulness in problem-solving
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Spanish speaking a plus
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- TABC, Food Handler, and Allergen Certified
Job Duties
- Lead successful operation of the kitchen
- manage food quality standards by monitoring temperature, preparation, and plating
- maintain knowledge of recipes and food preparation
- ensure food safety and allergy awareness
- develop and cross-train team members
- enforce team urgency and cleanliness standards
- manage inventory and meet food cost goals
- oversee ordering of kitchen production items
- assess and hire BOH staffing
- handle staff training, discipline, and termination
- organize BOH set-up and breakdown
- conduct training programs for BOH team
- hold pre-shift meetings with FOH and BOH
- perform line checks and correct issues
