Job Duties
- Daily supervision of kitchen team members, including training, development, and performance management
- act as a strong, self-reliant leader making sound production and personnel decisions
- manage shift-level kitchen operations ensuring compliance with company standards
- hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of kitchen staff
- conduct performance reviews and administer corrective actions including termination
- ensure every item meets Papa John's quality standards and order specifications
- communicate and reinforce food quality and preparation standards
- maintain current food safety certifications for all team members
- oversee kitchen cleanliness, organization, and security
- manage non-exempt kitchen and in-store team activities during shifts
- assume General Manager duties in their absence
- recruit quality-focused team members and ensure proper staffing levels
- maintain uniform and appearance compliance
- document and address performance deficiencies
- provide coaching and development to kitchen staff
- support sales targets by ensuring timely and accurate menu item preparation
- implement strategies to improve back-of-house profitability
- execute inventory controls and food cost management
