Job Requirements

- Experience in kitchen management or food service leadership
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Current food safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Capacity to make decisions and handle personnel matters effectively

Job Duties
- Supervise the kitchen team including training, development, and performance management
- Make production and personnel decisions to achieve operational excellence
- Manage shift-level kitchen operations ensuring compliance with company standards
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for kitchen staff
- Ensure quality control to meet Papa John’s product standards
- Communicate food safety and preparation standards to the team
- Manage kitchen cleanliness, organization, and security
- Oversee non-exempt kitchen and in-store team members’ activities
- Assume responsibility for all restaurant functions in the General Manager's absence
- Participate in recruitment and ensure appropriate staffing
- Document performance deficiencies and administer disciplinary actions
- Provide coaching and foster a team environment
- Support sales targets by ensuring timely preparation of menu items
- Implement strategies to address operational challenges and improve profitability
- Conduct inventory controls and manage food cost responsibilities
