Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a kitchen or restaurant setting
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to kitchen operations
  • Effective problem-solving skills and decision-making capability

  • Proven experience in kitchen or food service management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory, food costs, and labor expenses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in training and developing staff
  • Ability to conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing restaurant cleanliness and guest safety
  • Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assisting in development of key employees and providing daily feedback
  • Conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks for inventory and safety
  • Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all kitchen items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Setting hours and weekly schedules for Back of House employees and assigning tasks
  • Training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and recommending hiring for Back of House employees
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with company values and goals
