Job Requirements

  • Must possess superb communication and customer service skills
  • Must be flexible and customer-focused
  • Must enjoy developing high performing kitchen teams
  • Must have college coursework, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a restaurant manager preferred
  • Prior purchasing and production experience required
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Must be able to walk and stand for entire shift
  • Frequent bending and stooping required
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must be able to hear well in a noisy environment
  • Must bring joy to the job and inspire others

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework with Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a restaurant manager preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage and develop a team effectively
  • High level of business and operational acumen
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse customer base

Job Duties

  • Manages operations during scheduled shifts including decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, and upholding standards
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of staffing needs and prepares schedules
  • Staffs, trains, and develops hourly team members through feedback, coaching, and performance reviews
  • Ensures all new hires complete appropriate training plans and paperwork
  • Interacts frequently with guests to ensure optimal service and follows up on issues
  • Proactively runs shifts following the Bubble Theory and Hamburger Stand Theory
  • Observes kitchen operations and addresses issues promptly
  • Identifies operational opportunities to build sales and control costs
  • Manages inventory efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Ensures high levels of kitchen cleanliness, organization, and food sanitation
  • Coaches and develops talent
  • Manages purchasing, receiving, storing food products, and inspects suppliers
  • Fosters open communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Acts as Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager
  • Ensures proper security procedures to protect assets and team
