Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of supervisory experience preferably in food production
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and guests
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to stand extensively without breaks
- Comfortable working in exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
- Physical ability to bend, reach, walk, and handle lifting up to 50 pounds
- Mobility and flexibility to navigate space and work irregular hours under pressure
- Ability to carry trays weighing 20 pounds for up to 30 feet
Job Qualifications
- One to two years previous supervisory experience preferably in food production
- High school diploma, some college or degree preferred
- Strong communication skills with employees, vendors, and guests
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
Job Duties
- Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administrative and operations manpower
- Achieve planned profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
- Plan and oversee training and development of employees including subordinate managers
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, selection, training, and orientation of new hires
- Complete coursework at the University of Perkins
- Maintain ServSafe certification
- Perform and assist in functions for all restaurant positions
- Ensure proper food preparation, portioning, and presentation according to standards
- Monitor food temperatures and oversee food safety practices
- Schedule and staff sufficient well-trained employees
- Manage facility and equipment maintenance and safety compliance
- Maintain inventory levels for food and non-food items
- Ensure accurate financial data including payroll, food cost, and expenses
- Anticipate and resolve operational issues to maintain guest satisfaction
- Prepare and review financial reports
- Attend and contribute to restaurant and regional team meetings
