Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Proven experience managing food service for large events or catering
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work weekends evenings and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- ServSafe Management Certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Proven ability to manage food service for large events banquets or catering orders
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine preferred
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts quickly
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- ServSafe Management Certification
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for up to 10 hours
Job Duties
- Oversee all daily kitchen operations including food prep line execution cleanliness and inventory
- Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality portion control and efficiency
- Create prep lists production schedules and station assignments based on business volume and events
- Lead food production for large-scale events and private dining ensuring timeliness and quality
- Ensure food safety sanitation and health code compliance at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth communication and service
- Monitor food and labor costs assist with ordering and vendor management
- Address equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repair as needed
- Lead by example fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture
