Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Proven experience managing food service for large events or catering
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work weekends evenings and holidays
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • ServSafe Management Certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Proven ability to manage food service for large events banquets or catering orders
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Tex-Mex cuisine preferred
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts quickly
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • ServSafe Management Certification
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 10 hours

Job Duties

  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations including food prep line execution cleanliness and inventory
  • Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality portion control and efficiency
  • Create prep lists production schedules and station assignments based on business volume and events
  • Lead food production for large-scale events and private dining ensuring timeliness and quality
  • Ensure food safety sanitation and health code compliance at all times
  • Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth communication and service
  • Monitor food and labor costs assist with ordering and vendor management
  • Address equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repair as needed
  • Lead by example fostering a positive and productive kitchen culture
