- Experience in food service
- ServSafe certified or able to meet certification requirements within a specified timeframe

Job Duties
- Prepare menus and meals in compliance with Philadelphia Corporation for Aging menu guidelines and related nutritional guidance and with sensitivity to the cultural norms and preferences of center consumers
- Plan and order all food and food service supplies managing inventory in accordance with budgetary limitations and safe food handling practices
- Manage and maintain kitchen adhering to all standards and compliance guidelines established by the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging Department of Health and other regulatory bodies and organizational stakeholders
- Prepare and distribute appetizing and nutritious breakfasts and lunches daily to approximately 100 or more seniors
- Supervise kitchen staff on day to day operations
