Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or kitchen supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills for managing costs and inventory
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Commitment to upholding safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen management or similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven track record in managing food costs and labor
  • Experience with inventory control and purchasing
  • Ability to conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Familiarity with recipes and food preparation standards

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety
  • Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assisting with employee development through daily feedback and one-on-ones
  • Conducting formal line taste and temperature checks
  • Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all kitchen items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Setting work schedules and assigning tasks for Back of House staff
  • Training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Interviewing, hiring, or recommending hiring of Back of House employees
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment aligned with core values
