Job Requirements
- minimum of three years kitchen management experience
- experience in a high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant setting
- current ServSafe certification
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage profit and loss responsibilities
- capability to recruit, train, and retain kitchen staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- physical ability to walk, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift with some assistance
Job Qualifications
- three or more years of kitchen management experience
- bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
- experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant environment required
- experience preparing banquet-style events preferred
- current ServSafe certification required
- ServSafe instructor certification or the ability to become certified preferred
Job Duties
- adheres to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
- maintains budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
- reviews monthly profit and loss statements and makes adjustments as necessary
- works with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute food and beverage services for all events, including cleanup
- assists with cooking when needed
- estimates food consumption and purchases according to the specified food program
- schedules kitchen staff efficiently based on business volume shifts
- recruits, hires, trains, and retains a high-performing kitchen staff
- supervises preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food to ensure quality and presentation
- facilitates equipment maintenance and conducts sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
