Job Requirements

  • minimum of three years kitchen management experience
  • experience in a high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant setting
  • current ServSafe certification
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage profit and loss responsibilities
  • capability to recruit, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • physical ability to walk, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift with some assistance

Job Qualifications

  • three or more years of kitchen management experience
  • bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant environment required
  • experience preparing banquet-style events preferred
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or the ability to become certified preferred

Job Duties

  • adheres to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintains budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • reviews monthly profit and loss statements and makes adjustments as necessary
  • works with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute food and beverage services for all events, including cleanup
  • assists with cooking when needed
  • estimates food consumption and purchases according to the specified food program
  • schedules kitchen staff efficiently based on business volume shifts
  • recruits, hires, trains, and retains a high-performing kitchen staff
  • supervises preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food to ensure quality and presentation
  • facilitates equipment maintenance and conducts sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
