Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • SERV Safe Manager Certification
  • kitchen supervisory experience
  • at least two years of kitchen experience
  • must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier
  • this role is required to drive for company purposes
  • up to 10 percent travel is expected for this role

Job Duties

  • Manage inventory so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
  • maintain quality control of kitchen and perform quality assurance inspections
  • maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct weekly inventories
  • hiring new teammates and overseeing training that includes safe operation of kitchen equipment/utensils and proper lifting and handling practices of heavy items and hazardous materials
  • ensure compliance with state, federal, and local food handling requirements and standards
  • foster a quality focus in the kitchen
  • streamline the kitchen process to maintain prompt service times
  • partner with nursing to identify any special dietary requirements
  • partner with cooks on maintaining menu specifications
  • ensure regular sanitation and cleaning standards for the kitchen and verify that teammates maintain, in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards
  • schedule shifts for all kitchen teammates
  • track kitchen expenses to identify areas of potential waste
  • ensure all cooks maintain proper certifications
  • order kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand
  • other duties as assigned
