Job Qualifications
- Valid Food Manager's Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of full-service kitchen experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to create schedules and track labor effectively
- Excellent communication and training abilities
- Proficiency in food safety and quality control standards
Job Duties
- Ensure kitchen staff follows all policies including food preparation guidelines
- Order supplies and monitor inventory levels to maintain stock
- Schedule shifts to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Create weekly cook and dough schedules based on business needs
- Lead weekly back-of-house meetings and shift manager trainer meetings
- Train cooks and other kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Monitor food safety procedures and control food costs through proper product requisition and waste management
