Job Qualifications

  • Valid Food Manager's Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-service kitchen experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to create schedules and track labor effectively
  • Excellent communication and training abilities
  • Proficiency in food safety and quality control standards

Job Duties

  • Ensure kitchen staff follows all policies including food preparation guidelines
  • Order supplies and monitor inventory levels to maintain stock
  • Schedule shifts to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Create weekly cook and dough schedules based on business needs
  • Lead weekly back-of-house meetings and shift manager trainer meetings
  • Train cooks and other kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Monitor food safety procedures and control food costs through proper product requisition and waste management
