Job Requirements
- Promote and act consistently with the mission of Goodfellas Pizzeria
- Maintain cleaning schedules for kitchen and food storage areas
- Monitor and enforce sanitation standards and regulations
- Check quality of raw or cooked food products
- Maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control
- Estimate supplies required including food and ingredients
- Control food cost using requisition storage recipes and waste control methods
- Train and instruct cooks on preparation cooking garnishing and presentation
- Collaborate with restaurant managers on menu planning pricing and portion sizes
- Supervise kitchen staff engaged in food preparation
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to standards
- Schedule personnel to meet business needs while managing labor costs
- Inspect supplies equipment and work areas for compliance
- Order food equipment and supplies for kitchen operations
- Verify products ordered meet specifications and delivery conditions
- Follow restaurant policies for receiving deliveries
- Determine production schedules and staffing needs
- Check quantity and quality of received products
- Create decorative food presentations
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management or similar culinary leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation and hygiene regulations
- Ability to manage food costs portion control and inventory
- Experience in training and supervising kitchen staff
- Familiarity with menu planning pricing and recipe development
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of proper food storage and temperature control
- Understanding of labor scheduling and cost control
Job Duties
- Promote work and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Goodfellas Pizzeria
- Maintain appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors mats walls hoods other equipment and food storage areas
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure employees follow standards and regulations
- Check quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure standards are met
- Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies such as food and ingredients
- Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition product storage standard recipes and waste control procedures
- Instruct cooks or workers in preparation cooking garnishing or presentation of food
- Work with restaurant managers to plan and price menu items establish portion sizes and prepare standard recipe cards for new menu items
- Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation
- Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes portioning cooking and serving standards
- Schedule personnel as required for anticipated business activity ensure positions are staffed and labor cost objectives are met
- Inspect supplies equipment or work areas to ensure conformance to standards
- Order or requisition food equipment or other supplies needed for efficient operation
- Ensure products are ordered according to product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition
- Ensure deliveries are performed according to receiving policies and procedures
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements for timely delivery of services
- Check quantity and quality of received products
