  • Ability to train, mentor, and coach team members

  • Capable of problem-solving and working under pressure
  • Valid and reliable transportation

Job Duties

  • Run kitchen and shift responsibilities including opening or closing
  • Deploy and manage daily team routines
  • Manage kitchen prep schedules including prep and pull lists
  • Taste food at least twice per shift to ensure quality and flavor
  • Execute food recipes flawlessly
  • Oversee timing, quality, and freshness of drinks
  • Ensure food safety and team security
  • Hire, interview, and onboard new team members
  • Provide initial, cross-training, and new position training
  • Develop team members and conduct follow-ups
  • Conduct evaluations and one-on-one communications
  • Plan daily team activities and development
  • Ensure shift hand-off success and maintain daily communication
  • Lead restaurant team meetings and create a great atmosphere
  • Train and mentor kitchen supervisors
  • Coach and teach the kitchen team continuously
  • Manage food accountability and inventory
  • Handle food ordering, waste, yields, and par levels
  • Oversee proper receiving, organization, and rotation of food
  • Maintain food cost control daily and at end of period
  • Care for equipment and tools
  • Address guest service feedback
  • Implement action plans in response to third-party inspection results
