Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass TSA federal background check to work in the airport
  • College coursework with Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a kitchen manager or restaurant manager with extensive knowledge of restaurant operations preferred
  • Prior experience in purchasing and production
  • Previous kitchen experience required

Job Duties

  • Manage operations during scheduled shifts including daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date manpower plan of staffing needs
  • Prepare schedules and ensure proper staffing for all shifts
  • Staff, train and develop hourly team members through feedback and performance reviews
  • Observe kitchen operations and promptly address issues
  • Identify operational opportunities to build sales and control costs and develop plans accordingly
  • Manage inventory efficiently and maintain food quality by ensuring cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation
  • Coach and develop talent
  • Purchase, receive and store food products while inspecting suppliers and minimizing waste
  • Foster open communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Oversee entire restaurant operations as acting Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager
