Job Requirements
- 3 years of kitchen management experience
- 2 years of culinary experience
- ability to work 10 hour shifts including evenings and weekends
- in person work location
- strong organizational skills
- knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines
- experience managing staff in a high volume restaurant
- ability to handle inventory and cost reporting
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven work experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Executive Chef with volume exceeding 1 million dollars
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- hands-on experience with menu creation
- vast knowledge of classic food recipes
- familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- excellent organizational skills
- conflict resolution skills
- ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
- culinary school certification preferred
Job Duties
- Manage kitchen inventory and ordering
- supervise food prep and cooking
- check food plating and temperature
- establish portion sizes
- schedule kitchen staff shifts
- price menu items in collaboration with the Culinary Director
- order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed
- train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- store food products in compliance with safety practices
- keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
