Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • Food safety certification
  • Proficiency in English reading writing and speaking

Job Duties

  • Oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe's recipes portion standards and presentation guidelines
  • Manage and mentor kitchen staff fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Conduct hiring training performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory placing orders based on menu needs and business demand
  • Partner with department managers to develop menu items set pricing and determine portion sizes
  • Schedule shifts based on business needs holidays and special events
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment
  • Conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Oversee all food safety inventory and quality assurance processes
  • Ensure food is stored labeled and handled according to proper safety standards
  • Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day
  • Enforce food safety compliance among all team members
