Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in retail prepared foods or related field
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
  • Ability to maintain high standards of guest service
  • Basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of prepared foods department operations and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in retail prepared foods, culinary, kitchen, or restaurant settings
  • Strong knowledge of proper knife-handling skills
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications and programs including email, Microsoft Office, and operations related applications
  • Ability to direct the work of others as well as follow directions and established procedures
  • Strong knowledge of general prepared foods department practices and procedures
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a high level of guest service

Job Duties

  • Model and deliver outstanding customer service, ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
  • Supervise the work of others in the department, ensuring production and service standards are being met at all times
  • Prepare, package, weigh, and price prepared foods products for sale
  • Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation of product
  • Maintain accurate signage and pricing
  • Maintain and monitor the use of temperature, production, spoilage, and department transfer logs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
  • Operate and sanitize all kitchen equipment in a safe and proper manner
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
