Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of kitchen management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or culinary degree preferred
  • Experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
  • Experience preparing banquet style events
  • Current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow related to food operations
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Work with Operations and Sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute events including preparation, service, and cleanup of food and beverage
  • Assist with cooking when needed
  • Estimate food consumption and make purchases according to specified food program
  • Schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • Supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
  • Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules in compliance with Department of Health regulations
