Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in food service or kitchen management
  • familiarity with food safety regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • capable of standing for extended periods throughout shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen management role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage inventory and control food costs
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience conducting employee evaluations and training
  • understanding of restaurant operations and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and guest safety
  • monitoring and maintaining efficient food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting in development of key employees through daily feedback and one-on-ones
  • conducting formal line Taste and Temp checks for inventory and safety
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing scheduling and task assignments for Back of House employees
  • training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and recommending hires
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values
