Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in kitchen management
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Understanding of food service operations
  • Great judgment and decision-making skills
  • Basic reading and writing ability
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on tile or concrete floors
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use maintenance and product transportation equipment
  • Ability to bend, twist, climb ladders, racks and shelving
  • Ability to balance on wet and slick floors

Job Duties

  • Customer service
  • Inventory control
  • Team management
  • Kitchen scheduling of staff and food production
  • Monitor and ensure all recipes are followed by kitchen staff
  • Shrink management
  • Display planning and case merchandising
  • Coordinate with Meat and Produce departments to use available products
  • Monitor temperature of cases, shelves and storage areas and report failures
  • Pull and prepare items for boat orders weekly
  • Confirm orders for supplies and ingredients
  • Delegate or prepare internal orders for grab and go items
  • Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained
  • Use kitchen and cleaning equipment in compliance with safety policy
  • Observe and develop security problem prevention
  • Practice store safety rules and notify manager of hazards
  • Compute retail prices
  • Communicate with store manager on problems and recommendations
  • Complete competition price checks
  • Conduct department meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and substitutions during peak periods
