Job Duties

  • Assist kitchen key employees and assistant kitchen manager to achieve their goals
  • support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant and retail operations
  • lead the kitchen team to culinary and financial success
  • identify and develop future leaders
  • partner with office manager and General Manager in maintaining back of house staffing levels through job postings and recruitment, new hire orientation, performance evaluations
  • develop and maintain a fun and professional work environment
  • develop and maintain standards for food quality, visual and taste standards
  • develop and maintain educational programs for kitchen staff
  • hold regular kitchen leadership meetings
  • manage financials and budgets including labor cost, food cost, expenses
  • be a presence throughout the kitchen inspecting prep team productivity, consistency, and cleanliness
  • oversee line team productivity, visual and taste standards, and cleanliness
  • supervise dish team productivity and cleanliness
  • support expo and take-out team maintaining upbeat kitchen energy
  • quickly and professionally respond to all employee inquiries
  • support front of house leadership and team
  • oversee and maintain safety and sanitation standards including health inspection high scores
  • utilize literacy in computers and basic math
  • apply strong skills of observation
  • practice good problem solving and conflict resolution
  • maintain great oral and written communication
  • demonstrate exceptional follow-through skills
