Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a kitchen manager in full service or fast casual restaurants
  • Proven leadership skills including team coaching and motivation
  • Strong communication and math skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Familiarity with inventory and budgeting processes
  • Intermediate computer skills especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to develop and lead teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility
  • Commitment to personal and professional development

Job Duties

  • Support Head Trainer to ensure training materials are consistently and effectively used in team member training
  • Coach, train and develop Back of the House team in their job roles
  • Provide tools, education and experience for team members to perform job descriptions to standards
  • Ensure new team members attend orientation and support trainers during training
  • Conduct performance-oriented training and maintain accurate training records
  • Support manager-in-training program when needed
  • Analyze own strengths and weaknesses and develop self-improvement plans
  • Support development of leadership team in restaurant operations
  • Operate within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines to deliver profitability
  • Meet cost goals for food and labor without scheduling overtime
  • Hold kitchen team accountable for negotiated product, labor and operating goals
  • Prepare accurate financial information and conduct weekly inventories with action plans
  • Participate in budgets, projections and goal setting
  • Practice sound security measures
  • Follow administrative guidelines completing accurate records and maintaining personnel files
  • Support GM in performance reviews and completing new hire forms
  • Manage payroll records and schedules aligned with sales forecasts
  • Use documented disciplinary actions properly
  • Promote Hopdoddy culture and stay updated on marketing and competitive events
  • Build commitment around company initiatives and follow direction on tasks
  • Demonstrate high standards and act as role model for team
  • Support marketing programs and sales plans emphasizing up-selling
  • Set leadership example through conduct, appearance and energy
  • Ensure food preparation meets company standards and food safety procedures are followed
  • Manage staffing and operations of back of the house
