Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager sous chef or similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
  • ServSafe or other food handling certification or willingness to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager sous chef or similar role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in inventory and scheduling software is a plus
  • ServSafe or other food handling certification required or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities and staff including cooks prep staff and dishwashers
  • Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet quality and safety standards
  • Manage inventory order supplies and control food costs and waste
  • Schedule kitchen staff delegate tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency
  • Enforce proper sanitation hygiene and food safety practices in accordance with local health regulations
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth kitchen-to-service flow
  • Assist in menu planning recipe development and cost analysis
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff promoting a culture of teamwork and professionalism
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
  • Handle administrative tasks including budgeting reporting and compliance documentation
