Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior kitchen leadership experience or demonstrated proficiency
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to stand and walk for long hours
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Prior kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • Culinary degree a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to motivate and train a diverse team

Job Duties

  • Lead hiring, development, and retention of kitchen team
  • Manage food quality standards, including hot and cold food temperature monitoring
  • Maintain highest priority on food safety
  • Perform or coordinate basic kitchen equipment repairs
  • Develop and cross-train team members
  • Ensure urgency and teamwork among kitchen staff
  • Assign daily workstations and manage breaks
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen
  • Collaborate with Shift Leaders, Assistant Managers, and General Manager on special requests
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Enforce core company values
  • Hold team accountable for performance
  • Improve kitchen performance daily
  • Manage inventory and food cost control
  • Ensure compliance with labor and food safety laws
  • Maintain quarterly scorecard of kitchen cleanliness, food quality, and presentation
  • Oversee cleaning program and maintain accurate records
  • Implement timed holding system
  • Monitor and manage food waste
  • Ensure recipe and preparation procedure adherence
