Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management
- valid food handling certification
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work under pressure
- strong attention to detail
- reliable and punctual
- physical stamina necessary for kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management or similar food service role
- strong background in fine dining food preparation
- excellent leadership and organizational skills
- high standard of cleanliness and knowledge of sanitation regulations
- patient and empathetic with strong interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- familiarity with cost control and inventory management techniques
- experience with safety and food handling certifications such as ServSafe
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Preparing food with full knowledge of ingredients, cooking procedures and plating
- manage ordering of food and kitchen supplies
- oversee inventory to optimize food costs
- schedule kitchen staff and adjust staffing levels
- ensure all kitchen staff are trained and adhere to standards
- conduct regular line checks, temperature logs and food quality assessments
- enforce sanitation and safety standards
- maintain open communication with management
- implement and monitor back-of-house systems including prep lists and order guides
