Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management
  • valid food handling certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • strong attention to detail
  • reliable and punctual
  • physical stamina necessary for kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or similar food service role
  • strong background in fine dining food preparation
  • excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • high standard of cleanliness and knowledge of sanitation regulations
  • patient and empathetic with strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • familiarity with cost control and inventory management techniques
  • experience with safety and food handling certifications such as ServSafe
  • flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Preparing food with full knowledge of ingredients, cooking procedures and plating
  • manage ordering of food and kitchen supplies
  • oversee inventory to optimize food costs
  • schedule kitchen staff and adjust staffing levels
  • ensure all kitchen staff are trained and adhere to standards
  • conduct regular line checks, temperature logs and food quality assessments
  • enforce sanitation and safety standards
  • maintain open communication with management
  • implement and monitor back-of-house systems including prep lists and order guides
