Job Duties
- Monitor food and food preparation to maintain quality standards for preparation, presentation, and sanitation
- promote customer service by investigating and resolving food quality and service complaints
- coordinate the preparation and daily transportation of meals to satellite buildings where applicable
- conduct daily safety and production meetings with kitchen staff
- demonstrate and promote Opaa's core values
- supervise kitchen staff in all areas of production
- delegate workflow and report personnel issues to DNS
- train, cross-train, and certify all kitchen job stations
- ensure overall cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
- maintain compliance with Opaa! recipes and menu plans
- obtain approval for menu changes from DNS
- maintain compliance with timekeeping policies and report discrepancies
- submit all hours worked accurately
- maintain compliance with HACCP processes and procedures
- maintain compliance with HHFKA and CACFP Meal Patterns
- maintain compliance with safety processes and health regulations
- report unsafe working conditions and safety incidents timely
- coordinate and submit food and supply orders to Boss system
- ensure production records are complete and accurate
- oversee commercial and commodity inventory counts and FIFO standards
- ensure all products are properly received and discrepancies noted
- enter participation counts daily
- ensure accurate completion of required logs
- perform daily tray counts and reconcile with district reports
- maintain communication with building principals with weekly update meetings
- conduct 'Daily Dish' meetings and use production board
- attend weekly Kitchen Manager meetings with DNS
- perform other duties as assigned
- comply with physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, and specific vision requirements
- work in diverse conditions including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and chemicals
