Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management or related field
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and health standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead, motivate, coach, support and hold accountable all staff and managers
  • Make quick decisions to resolve issues as they arise
  • Verify recipe standards and procedures are always followed
  • Stay updated on food safety laws and regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Complete daily health inspection checklists to ensure compliance
  • Actively seek out and develop promising individuals for the Assistant Kitchen Manager and shift leader positions
  • Interview and hire all back of house positions
  • Take the lead by inspiring, mentoring, and having your team’s back to help them thrive and succeed
  • Maintain and promote leadership ladder and bench strength
  • Actively encourage and assist team with completion of development courses in Juno Journey
  • Conduct quarterly 1 on 1’s with team
  • Lead and verify correct training methods and materials in use
  • Effectively managing food costs by limiting waste and maintaining proper inventory levels
  • Write back of house schedules using labor forecasting to follow labor budgets
  • Ensure organization and rotation of all products
  • Test product daily to validate meeting company standards
  • Create freestyle within company’s guidelines
  • Ensure customers have a positive experience
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
