Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a fast food or kitchen environment preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and workplace safety regulations
- basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
- ability to work efficiently and quickly
- demonstrated leadership or team management capabilities
Job Duties
- Prepares batches of food that are cooked to order or kept warm until ordered and sold
- operates large-volume cooking equipment
- prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked, comfortable handling raw meats and blood
- assures minimal food waste
- works closely with vendors
- oversees truck deliveries, assisting in completion of truck orders, product rotation, and organization
- maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils
- provides direction to kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties
- ensures utilization of all checklists and daily sheets
- performs other related duties as assigned
