Job Requirements

  • prior experience in a kitchen management role
  • knowledge of food safety practices

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar leadership role
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • experience with food cost management and labor scheduling
  • ability to train and develop employees
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety of restaurant and guests
  • directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting with development of key employees by providing daily feedback on performance
  • conducting formal line taste and temperature checks for inventory and safety
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all kitchen items
  • managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing work for Back of House employees including scheduling and task assignments
  • training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and recommending hiring decisions
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with company core values
