Job Duties
- Oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe's recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory, placing orders based on menu needs and business demand
- Partner with department managers to develop menu items, set pricing, and determine portion sizes
- Schedule shifts based on business needs, holidays, and special events
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- Oversee all food safety, inventory, and quality assurance processes
- Ensure food is stored, labeled, and handled according to proper safety standards
- Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day
- Enforce food safety compliance among all team members
