Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years chef, sous chef, or direct kitchen management experience
  • One year supervisory experience in food service preferred
  • Minimum three years customer service experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and train a team
  • Valid Washington State Food Workers Card
  • Successful background and reference checks

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years chef, sous chef, or kitchen management experience
  • One year supervisory experience of five or more employees preferred
  • Minimum three years customer service experience
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Proven ability to impact sales generation and manage expenses
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, Department of Health guidelines, inventory, and portion control
  • Experience with gross profit and labor management
  • Effective merchandising and display skills
  • Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train employees
  • Strong culinary knowledge including cooking terms and procedures
  • Effective leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Interest in learning and passion for food
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Assist the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader with product displays to create an exciting marketplace
  • Ensure proficiency in production tasks with adherence to food preparation guidelines and recipe programs
  • Guarantee consistency, quality, freshness, portion control, and proper labeling of prepared foods
  • Effectively order products necessary for production and maintain inventory levels to promote sales merchandising
  • Demonstrate inventory control to minimize unnecessary costs and effectively interact with vendors
  • Manage stocking standards including rotation and cleaning procedures
  • Determine daily projects and activities for production employees and ensure completion
  • Lead and participate in product promotions and focuses
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation requirements and train team members on HACCP and Department of Health provisions
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and counseling to team members
  • Conduct physical inventory periodically
