Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- successful experience in kitchen operations including merchandising, ordering, inventory, and pricing
- complete training in kitchen operations
- 3-5 years of professional cooking experience in the food industry
- ability to display initiative and work with limited supervision
- must be ServSafe certified
- computer skills in e-mail and basic word documents
- must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- ability to work a schedule based on business needs
- authorized to work within the U.S.
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide an open door atmosphere conducive to high associate morale and excellent customer service
- commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong kitchen team
- promote the company image as a service-oriented operation where every associate greets and assists customers in a courteous and business-like manner
- conduct and facilitate department meetings
- ensure all new associates receive proper training regarding job descriptions, goals, and objectives
- administer discipline fairly and consistently
- manage inventory, security, and expense control of the department
- ensure compliance with company policies and all state and federal laws related to scheduling, labor, dress code, and sanitation
- resolve customer complaints to full satisfaction
- merchandise the department in accordance with community needs
- guarantee the best-trained kitchen team in the industry through ongoing training and development
- complete onboarding and e-learning checklists within 30 days of hire
- order, receive, unload, store, price, date, rotate, and stock kitchen products for display and sale
- maintain product rotation according to company policies (first in, first out)
- control proper storage to limit shrink and damaged goods
- achieve and maintain merchandising goals and standards in cooperation with store management
- plan work schedules and breaks to achieve payroll budget compliance
- maintain accurate wage and hour records and respond timely to reports
- monitor cooler and display temperatures
- offer product samples and assistance
- prepare special orders requested by customers
- minimize expenses without compromising customer service
- delegate responsibilities and exercise sound judgment to solve problems
- ensure outstanding product quality and presentation
- uphold safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
- practice proper sanitation procedures
- maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free sales and work areas
- follow proper safety practices when lifting and using equipment
- verify price checks for customers as needed
- ensure product labels and pricing are accurate and aligned
- notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, or property defacement
- perform other duties as assigned by management
